#11 Christmas Lights and GIVEAWAY!

My favorite thing to do around
Christmas is to drive around the neighborhood
with the family to look at Christmas lights and decorations.
There's something magical about it!
My parents did that with my brother and I when we were younger,
and now I'm passing on the tradition to my kiddos.

An ode to Christmas lights...

Stamps of Life Lights4Christmas, Lawn Fawn Let It Snow, Simon Says Stamp inks,
Wink of Stella, embossing folder, Lil Inkers rectangle stitched die

Fun right?!
I made a bunch of these since they were quick and easy.
The stamp set had a solid bulb to quickly fill in color!
Quick tip:
Embossing card fronts make for a quick yet fun backdrop
and doing a smaller card panel provides a smaller canvas to work with.
(read: fast and easy!)

We're almost to my big

First Christmas Card for the Season!

Happy Hump Day friends!

I've been feeling a bit sluggish lately with work but this quote was a great
reminder of why I do what I do!  All too often I find
myself learning so much about life through my patients.

And on to my card, because crafting is my fuel to
keep me sane...haha!

I was hoping to capture that fun sparkle
in the DCWV Glitzy Glitter matstack.  It's such a fun paper to die cut
especially because the glitter doesn't get everywhere!
I used the Avery Elle Fill in the Blank
Holiday Dies with those sweet bells and with the matching stamp set,
red heat embossed the word Christmas.

I wanted the bells to appear dangling from the word merry.
And that folks is my card!
I'll be entering

The Sentiment

What a whirlwind of events this past 3 day weekend!  I had a successful craft fair despite the rain and thank all my family, friends and sweet strangers that still shopped through the weather.  Unfortunately I caught a cold and was completely out on Sunday and most of Monday, but pulling through since it's a short work week.

Anyway, I quickly wanted to enter this card for the next Lawnscaping Challenge making the sentiment the main focus of my card...

I was going for the crazy Christmas sweater look...hehehe.  Took a bunch of Lawn Fawn Fa La La pattern paper and went to town!  Quick and fun.  Also wanted to introduce the latest idea brought to you by the hubby.  He gave me this awesome idea to do a series every Monday called "Picking Up the Pieces Monday."  I thought it was hilarious but it will incorporate my most favorite thing...paper piecing!  So stay tuned every Monday for a card or project using paper piecing.

Mahalo for stopping by and have a great week ahead!

More to Love!
