Lawnscaping Coffee Blog Hop

Aloha and welcome to

I'm super ecstatic to be a part of this hop especially because
when you get LAWN FAWN and COFFEE together
you're bound to make some awesome things!

As a nurse I'm always needing encouragement cards
and little gifts for my patients and their families.
It's never easy being sick or taking care of someone that is,
so my hope is to bring just a tiny bit of sunshine and
hopefully a smile or two.

Today's card...

I'm totally in love with Lawn Fawn's latest release
(I know I've said this before...but it's true!)
I used a bunch of Lawn Fawn sets and their matching dies:
Critters in the Jungle, Love You A Latte, Bake Me a Cake and Milo's ABCs.
I created the scene with the Stitched Oval Stackables die and
Puffy Cloud Borders to create the sky and ground.
The images were stamped, colored with copics and die cut.
Of course it wouldn't be a coffee themed card without a monkey carrying a mug
with a whipped topping (from the Bake Me A Cake set) and some
coffee beans stamped in the background.

Sometimes I want to just give a little gift because occassionally
words don't seem enough...

I thought of putting a simple coffee ice cream recipe inside.
The Lawn Fawn Milk Carton die is so fun to dress up and
the Treat Yourself stamp set I turned into coffee to match the theme.
I added the bow on top for some cuteness by punching two holes
and threading the ribbon through to close the carton!

Here's the recipe I put inside in case you'd like to try it for yourself
It really is divine!

Easy Homemade Coffee Ice Cream
1 cup Cold Brewed Extra Strong Coffee
1 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk

Blend everything together using an electric mixer to get whipping cream nicely whipped.
Place in freezer safe storage container and freeze over night.
Super easy and simple.
I love my coffee ice cream strong and not too sweet
so it may need some tweeking depending on your taste.

OK so did I mention PRIZES?!?

Shimmery Wedding Congrats

My apologies friends!
I completely spaced the winner for the
Summer Coffee Lover's Bloghop.
I truly enjoyed hopping around and seeing everyone's coffee inspired projects.
Even more fun was receiving your comments!
They totally made my day!!

So without further ado...
butterfly843 is the lucky winner of the
Lawn Fawn Scripty Love die!!!
I have contacted her through email.
Again a big MAHALO to everyone that stopped by and left a comment!

On to today's card...

I love the Scripty dies from Lawn Fawn and know that I'll be collecting
every word they come out with...LOL!

I die cut the word twice from the DCWV Glitzy Glitter Matstack and
again in black to create some shadowing.
The ring was stamped, colored with a silver pen and fussy cut
from Lawn Fawn's Happily Ever After.
I did a little snip, snip to create the plain wedding band.
The background is a Sizzix Mini Hearts embossing folder.
Tried to keep it simple with all the bling and shimmer.
I'm in love with the Neenah Metallics Cardstock which was found at my
local Wal Mart...can you believe it?!

I'll be entering this in the latest
and using this for inspiration

I went with a Clean and Layered look.

I hope you'll come back on Friday for an exciting blog hop
There's tons of prizes from some great sponsors!!

A Sketchy Card for A Blog Named Hero

Aloha friends!
Today starts a new challenge over at
using this

Fun right!?
A big MAHALO to Chari Moss for the sketch!!

Here's my take on it...

by stamping them on watercolor paper and white heat embossing
my little scene.  I wanted the animals to look like they were holding hands.
(they represented the 3 boxes in the sketch)
The scene was watercolored with the very vibrant Gansai Tambi watercolor set.
For grounding I die cut some grass and brushed on shades of greens
to follow the blades of grass. (the scallops portion of the sketch)
I had a lot of fun coloring the banner on top
to represent the squiggle lines in the sketch.
Tip: to make the images pop I took a light shade of blue
(from the watercolor palette) and went around all the edges to create more depth.

Here's a closeup...

So now it's your turn to show us your take on the sketch!
You may even win

our super generous sponsor...
big MAHALO to Simon Says Stamp!

Can't wait to see what you create!  Don't forget you can even flip
the sketch vertically for a whole new design!

Mahalo for stopping by!!

Amazeballz!

Happy Saturday friends!
I've been going crazy over the latest Lawn Fawn release...
you've seen it right?
When I saw the gumball machine
and the alphas
I had a bunch of fun ideas running around in my head.

Here's today's idea...

I envisioned gumballs rolling down a hill to tell that special friend
they are...AMAZEBALLZ!

I first stamped and embossed the gumball machine in silver on watercolor paper.
I used the Lawn Fawn inks in Mermaid, Wild Rose, Sunflower and Freshly Cut Grass
to color in the gumballs by smooshing the inks on an acrylic block
and using my waterbrush pen to pick up the color.
After drying, it was die cut with the matching die.
I took Lawn Fawn's stitched hillside border die and inked it up with
Freshly Cut Grass and adhered to the card front.
Then started to stamp out the letters in the matching Lawn Fawn inks.
(the inks stamp amazingly crisp with solid images!)
I sponged on some Simon Says Stamp Surf Blue in at the top of the card
for added color. Then adhered the die cut machine with foam tape.
Finally I silver embossed the "you're" for the finishing touch.
(the "A" was die cut and adhered to the machine because it ended up being hidden...hehe)

Here's a closeup of that fun gumball machine...

I LOVE how it turned out with the embossed silver!
The Lawn Fawn inks work great as watercolor
but here's a tip...
to spread the color evenly I first wet the area I wanted to color with water,
then picked up the ink off of the acrylic block and colored away.

Hope you're all having a great weekend and
MAHALO for stopping by!!

Brewing Up Wishes for the Summer Coffee Lover's Blog Hop

ALOHA!
This is my 3rd time being a part of this
AWESOME
and each time I get more and more excited by
the amazing inspiration and my ridiculous
cravings for COFFEE!!

Make it to the end of this post for a fun GIVEAWAY!

For today's card I used Avery Elle's Tea Time set
and actually got out a Halloween set as well.
Yup...Halloween!
I had an Inky Antics Halloween Frog set that had the
perfect sentiment I needed.

I started with stamping the leaves of Avery Elle's Thanks A Bunch,
then masked it and stamped the cup.
The cup was colored with copics and the birthday sentiment
is from Avery Elle's Party Animal.
(I LOVE that it fit perfectly)
I stamped out the flowers using Hero Arts Pink to Red Ombre Ink
and added some darker areas with
Distress Markers for a bit more shading and texture.
This was then all fussy cut and adhered with foam tape.
My Kraft card base info can be found HERE.
I die cut that yellow panel with Avery Elle's Finished Frames dies.

I hope you'll continue along the hop for your chance
at some amazing prizes from these super generous sponsors!

I've got a GIVEAWAY myself to give to one random commenter!
(US residents only....sorry)

I have this Lawn Fawn Scripty Love die perfect for any project!

Mahalo for stopping by!!!

I'm Guest Designing at Tag You're It!

I am completely honored to be guest designing over at

(for the Coffee Lover's Blog Hop click HERE)

I've loved entering their challenges!
Since I'm a challenge junky,
(and seem to always be short on crafting time)
it's the quickest way for me to get some crafty time in.

Here's this weeks inspiration...

The sweet apple die cut, mini clothespin and twine
 got my attention right away!
I needed to thank a very special coworker for helping me out
which called for a baked good.

I used Lawn Fawn's Baked With Love and My Silly Valentine
to create the tag and that clothespin is from Pebbles.
I've been hoarding it for some time, waiting for the perfect
project to add it to!

I asked the hubby to make a little apple pie and
he was kind enough to dress it all up for me!

A BIG mahalo to the
for having me!

And mahalo to you as well for stopping by!
