Let's Bokeh with Lawn Fawn Inks!

Happy Sunday friends!
What a Saturday I had crafting away with the latest Lawn Fawn release!!
So happy to have received my preorder super quick from
I highly recommend shopping there for quick, friendly service with
oh so many things to choose from.

The hubby has blessed me with ALL the Lawn Fawn inks
because I have been raving about them from the beginning!
They stamp crisp, can be used for watercoloring and with varying shades
make a super pretty bokeh effect.
tip: for the larger solid stamps ink in lightest color saving the darker
colors for the smaller image to create a cool bokeh effect.

Check it out...

I have a new record for the amount of cards I made in one day!
Besides the Let's Bokeh set I used most of
the Lawn Fawn Scripty Word dies and each panel was die cut
with Lawn Fawn's latest Scalloped  Rectangle Stackables dies.

Here they are...

the reds

the oranges/yellows

the greens

the blues (my FAVE)

the purples

That completes the cards I made for the day!
Thanks so much for hanging in there
while I shared my super crafty Saturday with you.
Questions or comments are always appreciated.  Would love to hear your
thoughts on any fun releases you all are enjoying?

TGIF with A Birthday Cactus

TGIF Friends!

With Lawn Fawn's newest release out, I decided to start looking
at some of the stamps I hadn't played with since the last release.
I'm a HUGE Lawn Fawn fan (if you already didn't know) so to have untouched
Lawn Fawn stamps is sacrilege...LOL!

On to today's card...

I love all the little images from Party Animal and paired them up with
Stuck on You.  The cactus and pot are solid stamps and Lawn Fawn inks are
PERFECT for solid stamps.  I layered the cactus with Celery Stick and Fresh Cut Grass
using the rock n roll technique for a bit of shading.  You can see it better with the
pot using Peacock with Deep Sea on the edges...so pretty!
The little images were colored with copics, die cut and adhered with foam tape on
the die cut stitched oval also from Lawn Fawn.
All the pattern paper is from Lawn Fawn's Sweater Weather collection.
Lastly the sentiment was heat embossed using Hero Arts White Embossing Powder.

Here's a closeup...

Cute right?!

Keeping it CAS for A Blog Named Hero

Aloha friends!
A Blog Named Hero has a new challenge that starts today.

Here's the card...

This month we're collaborating with

and I got to play with the cute set Send Pretty Mail.

I tried to keep a lot of white space and create a crisp edge
with masking an oval die.

I first stamped the sentiment from Hero Arts Friends by Lia, then
stamped those pretty flowers (colored with copics) from Neat and Tangled all around the edges.
To give a more defined edge I used a round blending tool for some green shading.
The panel was then adhered to Hero Arts Sunshine Layering paper.
I love Hero Arts cardstock (nice and sturdy) with a white finished inside perfect for letter writing!

I love challenges because it gets me out of my comfort zone!
I hope you'll join us for your chance to win a

Die Cut Embossing

Aloha gang!
Happy Hump Day!!

I had some time this morning and I've been dying to play with the latest
My Favorite Things release!

A while back, I won the Wild Greenery dies from one of the many
My Favorite Things giveaways!  I die cut some leaves to create a tone on tone background
and create an embossed look.
I was inspired by the latest MFT Sketch to join in on their fun challenge.

The leaves seemed a little too muted so I used Hero Arts Mint to Green ombre inks
to distress the edges for a bit of pop!
Once all the leaves were inked up and glued down,
I die cut the oval in the center.

I combined the plumerias and the ukulele to be able to give this card
to male or female when needed.
I love stamps with coordinating dies, but was a little worried about
the MFT dies.  Here's a tip...
die cut the images first then use a stamp press/MISTI to line up the stamps perfectly.
(or if you're like me and already stamped and copic colored the images, use the best lighting
and hold up your colored images to the light.  You'll be able to line up the die with your stamped image!  Also use those little pinholes in the dies to visualize the images' edge.)

Here's the card...

The images were adhered with foam tape and die cut leaves were adhered with
multi matte medium glue.  I used images from Polynesian Paradise and Tiki Party.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these sets!

As always MAHALO for stopping by!

Quick Goody Bag for Teachers

Happy Wednesday Friends!
It's back to school time in this household and
I wanted to send the kids off to school with a little goodie bag
for their teachers and teacher assistants.
We filled the bags with simple office/desk supplies...
just a little gesture to start the school year!

That sweet owl image is from Kitty Bee Design colored with copics.
I used the Tim Holtz In the Bag die with some
fun and glittery pattern paper from my stash.
I really wanted to personalize the bags, but of course this was all last minute...haha!
Six of these bags in no time, just by adding a sweet little sentiment
and Kitty Bee Design image!

Mahalo for stopping by!!

More to Love!
