Bunny Holiday Pop Up Box

Happy Friday eve folks!  It's been forever and a day since I've entered a challenge, but since I got to play in my craft room today...why the heck not!?  I'm joining the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Critters

This pop up box die from Lawn Fawn is so fun and can be super quick with pattern paper and solid stamps.

I used some oldie but goodies from Lawn Fawn.  The pattern paper is from their Fa La La collection and the stamp set is Lawn Fawn's Snow Day.  The trees were inked in Lawn Fawn Celery Stick and Freshly Cut Grass inks.  I kept the coloring to a minimum with copic markers for the bunnies and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Tobaggan Together.

Cute and easy is my favorite...haha! Hope you enjoyed and mahalo for stopping by!!

Shaped Cards with a2z Scrapbooking

Aloha and happy Thursday!  Can you believe summer is here?!  This month's challenge over at
a2z Scrapbooking  is all  about those shaped cards so get out those dies and use them to their full advantage!  I made mini sea turtle shaped cards and boy are they cute!

Here's how...

I used the sea turtle die at the edge of a fold to create my mini shaped card.  Then I die cut another piece in green cardstock to stamp on and adhere to the front of my mini card.

I found that die cutting the sea turtle helped with placement of stamping their legs and head.  I used Hero Arts Hybrid inks in Moss and Pine (see supply list below).

I made a his and her shaped card by adding a little hibiscus flower on one of them inked in Hero Arts Hybrid Ink in Dandelion and Tangerine.  I hope you'll join us this month for a chance to win $25 to the a2z Scrapbooking store!

Mahalo for stopping by!

A Blog Named Hero's 5th Anniversary Bash Celebration!

Aloha!  What an honor to be a part of this exciting 5th Anniversary celebration for
A Blog Named Hero!!  I'm Niki G. and I am a former A Blog Named Hero design team member from last year. A big shout out to Lisa and Jessica for continuing to bring crafty inspiration daily with A Blog Named Hero.

Even more exciting is there are prizes to be won just for hopping and commenting along the way! The hop is over two days and there are different giveaway prizes to be won each day. Check out the info at the end of the blog post!!

On to the celebration with my card...

Hero Arts came out with a beautiful Peacock Feather Stencil and I thought I'd used the emboss resist technique. Initially I used Distress Ink in Black Soot and Versarmark ink keeping the stencil in place. After removing the stencil I added Hero Arts Clear Embossing powder to set the black ink and allow me to use several Distress Ink colors (Peacock Feathers, Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover and Wilted Violet) in the negative space!

I completed the look with the sentiment from Hero Arts Cheers Messages by Lia embossed in Judikins Egyptian Gold embossing powder on black cardstock die cut with Lawn Fawn Fancy Scalloped Rectangle Stackables.

**GIVEAWAY INFO:
A Blog Named Hero is so thankful for our wonderful sponsors and collaborating companies!  Several companies decided to help us celebrate our fifth anniversary with giveaways and they were so generous that we decided to spread the love over both hop days with different prizes to be won each day!  Giveaway prizes total more than $500!  To win, leave a comment on each hop stop.  We will select winners randomly from different blogs so the more blogs you visit each day, the greater your chances of winning!  And be sure to visit the Saturday post from A Blog Named Hero for the list of Saturday hoppers and prizes!  Comments must be left before 11:59 PM EDT on Tuesday, March 28th and winners will be announced on March 30th.

Sending You...with a2z Scrapbooking

Aloha and happy February!  Its the start of a new challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking and we're getting in the mood for Valentine's Day for our challenge of "Any Shade of Red."

Of course I had to get out my Hero Arts Ombre Ink Light Ruby to Red Royal for the challenge!  I love making quick and easy backgrounds with all the ombre inks by just a quick swipe.  For some added fun I die cut some hearts using Hero Arts So Sorry Stamp and Cut and layered over a card panel before swiping to create a cool border.  Keep in mind the thicker your paper the bigger your border...kinda cool I thought!

I took the sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Graphic Flowers and just inked up the sending you.

That's it for me!  I hope you all will join us for this fun challenge for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store!!
