Lunch Box Notes for Kitty Bee Designs

Yay for Wednesday!

Today I'm over at Kitty Bee Designs showing off these fun
lunch box notes I made for the kiddos.
Can you believe they actually questioned how come they didn't have any yet for the school year?
Oops...didn't even know they cared...haha

These were super easy to make.  I took a die from Avery Elle Wonky Stitches Die
and scored in half to create a card.
Stamped out that sweet Bun I Coloring in Hero Hues India Ink Black (perfect for watercoloring).
Then took out some Distress Markers and colored away.
My son loves red and my daughter blue so it was easy to come up with a color theme.
Added some baker's twine from my stash and voila!
Easy peasy lunch box notes!!

Quick Goody Bag for Teachers

Happy Wednesday Friends!
It's back to school time in this household and
I wanted to send the kids off to school with a little goodie bag
for their teachers and teacher assistants.
We filled the bags with simple office/desk supplies...
just a little gesture to start the school year!

That sweet owl image is from Kitty Bee Design colored with copics.
I used the Tim Holtz In the Bag die with some
fun and glittery pattern paper from my stash.
I really wanted to personalize the bags, but of course this was all last minute...haha!
Six of these bags in no time, just by adding a sweet little sentiment
and Kitty Bee Design image!

Baby Congrats for Kitty Bee Design

Happy Hump Day!
I've got a card to share today that's over on the

I love this sweet little giraffe!

Because she doesn't know what she's having I decided
to use a bunch of soft colors in polka dots die cut with the
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Squares die to create a quilt look
for my background.  The giraffe was watercolored using
Gansai Tambi Watercolors, fussy cut and adhered with foam tape.
The sentiment is fromLawn Fawn Scripty Congrats and Plus One.

Hope you all are having a blessed week.

Faux Stitchwork with Dilly Beans

Happy Aloha Friday!
is playing with

for our ongoing challenge
to use real or faux stitching.

Here's my take...

The digi I used is Doodle Flower
and I had every intention to actually handstitch some accents...
of course it was not turning out the way I wanted.
I went with the faux stitching instead from my dies and added a few
hand drawn stitches on the leaves and outer flower petals.
This drawn flower is just so whimsical and fun that I ended up printing
a bunch on different colored cardstock and doing some paperpiecing.

I loved the boldness of the flower and went simple with just a tone
on tone background (Hero Arts Highline Chalkboard) and some
gold foil paper with a vellum backing to
make the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Thanks Craft die) stand out.

Hope you all have some great weekend plans.
This gal is on call, but I hope to squeeze some crafty time in!

Design Team Spotlight for Kitty Bee Designs

Happy Aloha Saturday!
If you're stopping by from
WELCOME!
If you're a regular...MAHALO
for coming back!!

On to today's card...

I was going for an Easter themed card,
but quickly realized I may not get it out in time, so
I decided to change the sentiment to something a bit more general ;o)
The sentiment was die cut from
 Penny Black's Words of Gratitude.
If you've been following my blog you'll know I've been obsessed with
Deco Foil and you can see my VIDEO HERE and HERE.

I used some American Crafts Dear Lizzy 5th and Frolic pattern paper,
with a that fabulous rainbow washi tape up the side.
The Kitty Bee Design Bun was colored with Tombow markers
and a blender for a watercolor look.

I think you can see the foil shine better in the above picture.
I think the muted background helps balance the colored image, rainbow washi
and that bit of color in the banner to tie everything together.
That's it for me!

Aloha Friday Challenge with Kitty Bee Design

Happy Aloha Friday!
Today I'm playing with the
with the theme
EASTER
sponsored by the sweet images from

I have a lot of great childhood memories
of Easter with the family and hope to carry on the
tradition with my kids.  We still do Easter egg hunts
in the same backyard that I did when I was my kids' age!

For today's card I got to play with

In the true spirit of Easter I went with a lot of color!
I printed Amalia out (2x) and die cut her a little off center using the
Avery Elle Finished Frames die.
I then stamped the sweet
I masked both images and used distress inks
to create to colorful background.
I removed the masks and used copic markers to
color the images and create a bit of shadowing on the ground.
I finished off the top corner with a banner die from Lawn Fawn
and stamped out the sentiment on top, then glued to the panel.

So that's it for me!
I hope you'll join us for the challenge.

Designer Spotlight for Kitty Bee Designs

Happy Saturday friends!
Today I'm sharing this sweet image by

I can't get enough of that sweet froggy's face!
Just about the same face I make
every time I forget someone's birthday!!

I kept the card simple for mass production
because I ALWAYS need a
Belated Birthday card.

The bottom was stamped with Lawn Fawn's
Gingham backgrounds using their ink in Cranberry (so pretty).
I took various fonts of questions marks to do
a tone on tone background and popped
up that sweet copic-colored froggy.
I hand drew the speech bubble and there you have it!

Hope you have a great weekend and

Fun Card Swap!

My sweet and fun Kitty Bee Designs teammate Shirl of Creations by Shirl had a fun idea of doing a Christmas card swap!  We were randomly paired up and I was paired with Shirl.  She totally spoiled me with more than a card, but lets take a look at her creation...

Cute right?!  That Kitty Bee Designs stamp can be found HERE.  I love all her die cut pieces for embellishments and of course the glitter!  MAHALO Shirl for this sweet card!  And this is how she spoiled me...

I can't wait to have time to play with them!

Curious on the card I sent?!  This is the card given to Shirl...

I had to use that sweet Kitty Bee Designs Christmas owl... added some Lawn Fawn paper with a Avery Elle die cut bell for fun!  It's hard to see but stickles was used for the hat trim and holly.

I'm quickly going to add this to the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes since it has some Lawn Fawn paper!
