Guest Designing again with Lawnscaping Challenge!!

I'm guest designing again with the fabulous

The next challenge is to
distress your project!

Here's what I came up with....

I used the puffy star stackables die as a mask
and distressed the edges
with Distress Inks
in Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans.
Once dried, I white heat embossed the sentiment from
So Much To Say, then
adhered the panel to
Hello Sunshine paper and added a few sequins from the
Hello Sunshine Lawn Ornaments.
I hope you'll join us and enter your
Distressed Projects!

Another Washi Card for PC&S Gallery Idol 2014!

I had been wanting to use my Lawn Fawn Scalloped Stitched Borders die for quite some time.  After seeing the bonus sketches found in the latest PC&S Card Creations Vol. 12 magazine, I knew exactly what I needed to do!

So the background was fun to create, but figuring out what was going on top had me stumped.  The color scheme was to set the scene of "outer space" for my globe and I really wanted wood veneer stars, but alas I had no wood veneer stars and thought the die cut hearts (which were heat embossed in Egyptian Gold) was pretty enough!

Here it is....

To get the bright colors on the Kraft paper globe I used gelatos.  I'm crossing my fingers I have enough time to create one more washi themed card, but we shall see.  You know how you have an idea in your head, but putting it on a card is a whole 'nother story!  BTW have you seen the Flikr Gallery for Gallery Idol 2014?!  Talk about talent!!

Again crossing my fingers and toes!!!  Mahalo for stopping by!!!!

Washi Stash!

Wowee!  It feels like forever since I blogged.  It's been one of those weeks where all the ideas to create something flood in my brain while I'm working, and no where near my crafty space!  Ever have those days?!  Unfortunately I've been working long hours so by the time I come home I'm pooped!  Tonight though, I'm on a mission!  I've been itching to enter this years Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking Gallery Idol 2014 with the theme of washi tape!

Wanna see my washi stash?!

There is my crazy collection!
My favorites are the ones at the bottom...Doodlebug Designs Candy Stripes Assortment!  I love the smaller width and the rainbow of colors is just yummy!

Here's what I came up with for the contest...

This was the perfect pick me up creation for me!  I created the background with Old Paper Distress Ink stamped with Lawn Fawn's Woodgrain Backdrop in Scattered Straw adhered on Bazzill Yukon Gold cardstock.  I started with a circle die cut and ruffled up the washi tape starting from the outside edge, working my way inward with the rainbow of colors. To finish the center I adhered Doodlebug Designs sequins in Lilac.  The leaves were created using strips of washi tape and die cutting with Lawn Fawn's Stitched Leaves Die.  The flower was mounted using foam tape and finished off with a sentiment from Lawn Fawn's Summertime Charm.

I hope this brightens your day as it has mine!  Hope to see you in the gallery as well!  Mahalo for stopping by!

Guest Designer over at Lawnscaping Challenge!

Good morning!  I'm super thrilled to be a Guest Designer over at my most favorite challenge in the blogosphere...

For this challenge I went all floral for Mother's Day.  Check it out....

Lawn Fawn Flutter By, Lawn Fawn Petite Florals, Lawn Fawn Penelope's Blossoms
Lawn Fawn Quinn's Capitals ABCs dies, Hero Hues Unicorn Ink, Gelatos,
Lawn Fawn Hello Sunshine and Peace Joy Love Pattern Paper
Lawn Ornaments Into the Woods sequins

So I stamped out the sentiment first and then the varying flowers
starting with the larger flowers and filling in with the smaller ones and flourishes.
Each flower was colored in using gelatos and a water pen.
The letters were die cut and foam taped above the stamped sentiment.
Super girly and fun!

I would love it if you stopped by Lawnscaping Challenge and encourage you to join in on the fun!  Can't wait to see what you all created for your stamped backgrounds!

Mahalo for stopping by!!!

More to Love!
