Bunny Holiday Pop Up Box

Happy Friday eve folks!  It's been forever and a day since I've entered a challenge, but since I got to play in my craft room today...why the heck not!?  I'm joining the Lawn Fawnatics Challenge: Critters

This pop up box die from Lawn Fawn is so fun and can be super quick with pattern paper and solid stamps.

I used some oldie but goodies from Lawn Fawn.  The pattern paper is from their Fa La La collection and the stamp set is Lawn Fawn's Snow Day.  The trees were inked in Lawn Fawn Celery Stick and Freshly Cut Grass inks.  I kept the coloring to a minimum with copic markers for the bunnies and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Tobaggan Together.

Cute and easy is my favorite...haha! Hope you enjoyed and mahalo for stopping by!!

Watercolor Cornucopia

Oh yea...it's Friday!!!

I'm feverishly getting ready for a craft fair on Sunday!
I haven't done one in a couple years, but
it keeps my mom busy and gives me an excuse to just create.

Today I have an oldie but goodie (or in my eyes a classic) Lawn Fawn image
perfect for Thanksgiving to enter the latest

I started with some Ranger Liquid Platinum embossing powder and
the retired Lawn Fawn's Harvest Season stamped out on a die cut
Then I masked the image with Fineline Masking Fluid Pen
and waited for a bit before using Distress inks to create a blended background.

Then I carefully rubbed off the masking fluid and used Tombow Markers scratched onto
an acrylic block and a wet brush to watercolor the image.

Because everything was so colorful I went with a tone on tone background using

Plaid and Stocking Mouse

Got some free time...finally...and decided to play with my watercolors and create
that fun plaid pattern that Kristina Werner did in her Holiday Card Series.
Talk about completely inspired and totally fun to do!

This is how it started out...

I was not too happy with it in the beginning but was inspired by the latest
Curtain Call Challenge

so I pushed forward!  I knew my lines were a bit uneven and of course not straight, so
I used some vellum to mute it a bit (wink, wink).  I used the Tim Holtz Holiday Words Script
to die cut DCWV Gold Foiled Cardstock.
I felt like it needed some cuteness and there's nothing cuter than
the Lawn Fawn Merry Christmouse set from Simon Says Stamptember colored in copics.

and a closeup...
I wanted the stocking to look like it was hanging from the "g"
so I snipped the letter to insert the Lawn Fawn image.

So that's my card today.  I hope everyone had a safe and Happy Halloween!
Now to go create more holiday cards!

A Kid Christmas Card for A Blog Named Hero

I LOVE everything bright and cheery and if I can put a rainbow on it...
even better!

Today's card is for the latest A Blog Named Hero Challenge:

I decided to make a Christmas card filled with color
perfect for any kid!

I used one of my FAVORITE stamp sets from the Hero Arts Holiday catalog
Merry Cactus To You inked up in Lawn Fawn inks.
(Lawn Fawn inks work PERFECTLY with solid stamps)
I created a scene to make the penguin from Lawn Fawn's Toboggan Together set look like
he was placing the star on the top of the cactus!

I first inked up the pots and stamped them upside down to create a pile of pots
for the penguin to stand on.
Then I stamped the cactus and colored in copics.
I die cut the scene with Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die and
then adhered to a panel die cut with Lawn Fawn's Scalloped Rectangle Stackables using
Lawn Fawn's Let's Bokeh in the Snow pattern paper.
The cream colored bokeh pattern paper is also from the same paper pad.
Lastly the sentiment was stamped up from Lawn Fawn's Let's Bokeh set.

Here's a close up...

That's my card for today!
I hope you'll join our challenge for your chance to win a

A big shoutout to Simon Says Stamps for being our generous sponsor and
of course Lawn Fawn  for letting us play with their amazing products this month!

Please Send Coffee and GIVEAWAY

TGIF friends!!!

ok and just to clarify my first favorite F-word is FREE...hahaha!

Okey dokey, down to the wire to get my second card in for

I was totally having a blast with hopping around and was so happy to see
Halloween cards (my fave holiday!) so I decided to make one myself!

The background was stamped with the latest Hero Arts Kelly's Coffee and Donuts
For us coffee lovers this set is a must have with such fun sentiments and cute images!
I thought the little Lawn Fawn Franken-boo (colored in copics)
from the set Booyah, would be perfect for the sentiment
"please send coffee."
The oval was embossed with an embossing folder and
then I used a new-to-me item StazOn Studio Glaze!
It's a pretty cool medium in that it highlights the embossed areas
and gives it a cool glazed/glossy look for a bit of shine.
I just used a palette knife to spread over the entire surface and it dries pretty quickly!
For a bit more color I added on the orange polka dot panel from
Lawn Trimmings in Spooky which is a hemp twine with 3 different colors...so fun!!

Here's a closeup...

I totally giggled at this card adding all the little details.
Do you like the little spider on the mug?!

You're Dino-Mite and GIVEAWAY!

Oh yea, the weekend is ALMOST here!

I've got a quick post to play along with the latest

I had a special request from a coworker to create a birthday card
for her nephew who loves dinosaurs.
Of course I had to pull out my Lawn Fawn and get to work!
The texture challenge was the perfect inspiration to play with cork
from DCWV Cork Solids Stack Brights.  It has such beautiful colors and
die cuts like butter!  I used Lawn Fawn Black Licorice for a crisp stamped image.

Everything came together quickly with pattern paper from
Lawn Fawn's Beachside Pint Sized Patterns as the background.  I die cut a
stitched oval stackable to create the base of the scene.  Then die cut some grass and adhered
the images with Scotch Quick Dry Adhesive (my favorite liquid adhesive).
The brontosaurus was adhered with foam dots for some dimension.

I wish you could feel the texture through the screen!
I used a cool gray copic marker to create some shadowing on the dinosaurs since
they were all die cut from colored cork.

There you have it!
I'm hoping he loves it!!

Mahalo for stopping by.
Oh and since you made it this far I'm doing a GIVEAWAY!
The hubby recently "renovated" my blog look and I wanted to celebrate!!

I would love to hear what you would do with $20 to the A2Z Scrapbooking Store.
You have until Monday (9/14) at midnight Hawaiian Standard Time to comment on
Good luck and thanks for playing!!

Let's Bokeh with Lawn Fawn Inks!

Happy Sunday friends!
What a Saturday I had crafting away with the latest Lawn Fawn release!!
So happy to have received my preorder super quick from
I highly recommend shopping there for quick, friendly service with
oh so many things to choose from.

The hubby has blessed me with ALL the Lawn Fawn inks
because I have been raving about them from the beginning!
They stamp crisp, can be used for watercoloring and with varying shades
make a super pretty bokeh effect.
tip: for the larger solid stamps ink in lightest color saving the darker
colors for the smaller image to create a cool bokeh effect.

Check it out...

I have a new record for the amount of cards I made in one day!
Besides the Let's Bokeh set I used most of
the Lawn Fawn Scripty Word dies and each panel was die cut
with Lawn Fawn's latest Scalloped  Rectangle Stackables dies.

Here they are...

the reds

the oranges/yellows

the greens

the blues (my FAVE)

the purples

That completes the cards I made for the day!
Thanks so much for hanging in there
while I shared my super crafty Saturday with you.
Questions or comments are always appreciated.  Would love to hear your
thoughts on any fun releases you all are enjoying?

MAHALO for stopping by!

More to Love!
