Aloha and happy Monday! It's definitely a happy Monday for me having a 3 day weekend for President's Day. As a nurse, these long weekends don't come often enough so I'll definitely be making the most of it in my craft room!
Today I'm playing with the FABULOUS Hybrid inks from Hero Arts. Let me just tell you they are YUMMY! I can't even describe my excitement when I started playing with them. They work beautifully with the Color Layering series from Hero Arts, they stamp crisp, have quick drying time and are just gorgeous. Take a look...
I used the latest Color Layering Fish with matching dies and made these beautiful layered fish!
The first color is the lighter color used for the solid stamp and the second color is used for the details. I used Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Wet Cement for the eyes.
Here's a card I made with a few of the fish...
I started with the card panel swiped in Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon). I took the Forest Floor Bold Prints Background stamp and sprayed with water until the water pooled and I layed the card panel on top to soak in the water and create that cool texture effect! I let that completely dry on its own. I die cut an oval piece of vellum using Lawn Fawn's Stitched Oval Stackables and adhered the fish to the vellum and stamped out the sentiments from Hero Art's Hello Gorgeous. The Happy Birthday sentiment is from an older Hero Arts mini set from my stash. I drew in my own parentheses with a permanent marker.
Here's a closeup...
I LOVE these Hybrid inks! If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments and I will try to answer them as best as I can.
I'll be entering this card in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: One Layer!
Mahalo for stopping by!!
