Greetings from Hawaii
Happy Monday all!

I finally got my hands on some goodies from the latest Hero Arts release and today I wanted to showcase the awesome Paper Layering Palm Tree Pair die.
This fun die creates so much dimension and the best part is it also cuts an outline! I used Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to add color. I wanted an oval frame to highlight the palm tree and love how the edges of the palm kinda peaks out!
The sentiment was created using Kelly's Outline Letters and Hero Arts hybrid inks in Intense Black, Strawberry, Tangerine, Dandelion, Green Apple, Summer Sky and Orchid. I added a couple of black gemstones for fun.
That's my card for today! Do you all have any favorites from the Hero Arts release?

Last Minute Mother's Day Cards!
Not quite sure how May crept up on me and that tomorrow is Mother's Day! YIKES!! I got some last minute orders from work which calls for quick and easy Mother's Day cards. I had to pull out my Lawn Fawn stash because they've been poorly neglected.
Let's start with card #1
Some pattern paper (no time to color!) and Lawn Fawn's Best Pun Ever is the star of this card. Created a little window with a scalloped square and voila!
Card #2
I went cutesy with this one using Lawn Fawn's Gleeful Gardens and Stitched Oval Stackable dies. Lawn Fawn inks and sequins were the finishing touch and copics were used to quickly color the shrooms and grass.
Card #3
Don't you love that scripty mom font? When you are running out of time, Lawn Fawn inks save the day! I used Lawn Fawn's Penelope's Blossoms inked in Lawn Fawn Yeti pigment. To give the blooms color I went over the Yeti ink with Lawn Fawn inks in Wild Rose, Sunflower, Carrot, Jalapeno, Celery Stick, Merman and Fresh Lavender. Popped up the craft cardstock on some pattern paper that matched the die cut mom and there ya have it!
Card #4
I used Lawn Fawn's Stitched Rectangle die to create a couple of windows. Lawn Fawn's Mom +Me sets the perfect scene. All inks are Lawn Fawn and the owls are copic colored. Because I cherish my grandmothers, I took a little more time on this card and would like to enter it in the latest Lawnscaping Challenge: Calling All Critters

Keep Swimming with Hero Arts
Mondays need a little encouragement so today's card is just about that!
I was going for an underwater bokeh effect. I started the background with the Hero Arts Bubble Confetti Stencil inked up on Hero Arts Sea Layering Paper using Hero Arts Unicorn ink and Hero Arts Pool to Navy Ombre Ink.
A stitched rectangle die was used to cut white cardstock and the stencil was used again with the same ombre ink. I needed the rectangle piece to break up all the blue and really highlight my fish and seaweed. The stamp set is Hero Arts Color Layering Fish with coordinating dies. The fish was inked up in Hero Arts Bold ink in Dandelion and Tangerine. For the cool looking seaweed I used Hero Arts Lime to Forever Green ombre ink on vellum and used clear embossing powder for shine. The sentiment is using Hero Arts Intense Black ink.
I used some foam tape on the fish and Kool Tak Foam behind the vellum pieces for dimension.
Wishing you all a great week ahead and MAHALO for stopping by!

New Challenge over at a2z Scrapbooking
Aloha friends! Hope your weekend is going well and you're finding lots of time to craft.
We are starting a new challenge up over at a2z Scrapbooking: CAS (Clean and Simple).
CAS can be a challenge for me, but this sweet Hero Arts Pinata needed to be the star of my card! I used colored embossing powders (Zing! Embossing Powder in Rouge, Apricot, Butter, Leaf and Wave) to create a rainbow and then cut out coordinating cardstock to matte the image.
I love the Hero Arts Pinata wood mount because you can use it for so many types of celebrations like birthday, congrats and even just encouragement! Today I paired it with a birthday sentiment from Hero Arts Balloon Animal Birthday..
I hope you'll join the fun over at a2z Scrapbooking for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the store!! Mahalo for stopping by.
