I couldn't get enough of Lawn Fawn's stamp set Hats Off to You and have to give credit to my hubby and his elaborate vision. Of course he envisioned a design waaaaaaay more complicated than what I produced below, but I must say I do LOVE the concept.
So the vision was the hats partying. I used a speedball brayer (again dating myself) for the background to make confetti streamers in a rainbow of colors. To complete the party a disco ball was necessary so I just cut a circle die and embossed to give it that mirrored look. I then inked it up with some silver to give it more shimmer and a spritz of Shimmer Mist for added sparkle. I love how Lawn Fawn stamps have so much character. I was inspired by her other sets like On the Mend and how each stamp had a smiley face. I just took a couple of her faces from the bandaid stamp and the gingerbread face in A Sweet Christmas and just inked up the faces to add to each hat. The hats and disco ball are popped up on some foam tape for added dimension.
Hopefully the sentiment explains everything!
As you can see I've just started this whole blogging thing and greatly appreciate comments! Thanks for taking the time to check this out...have a fantabulous day!!!
