Die Cut Embossing

Aloha gang!
Happy Hump Day!!

I had some time this morning and I've been dying to play with the latest
My Favorite Things release!

A while back, I won the Wild Greenery dies from one of the many
My Favorite Things giveaways!  I die cut some leaves to create a tone on tone background
and create an embossed look.
I was inspired by the latest MFT Sketch to join in on their fun challenge.

The leaves seemed a little too muted so I used Hero Arts Mint to Green ombre inks
to distress the edges for a bit of pop!
Once all the leaves were inked up and glued down,
I die cut the oval in the center.

I combined the plumerias and the ukulele to be able to give this card
to male or female when needed.
I love stamps with coordinating dies, but was a little worried about
the MFT dies.  Here's a tip...
die cut the images first then use a stamp press/MISTI to line up the stamps perfectly.
(or if you're like me and already stamped and copic colored the images, use the best lighting
and hold up your colored images to the light.  You'll be able to line up the die with your stamped image!  Also use those little pinholes in the dies to visualize the images' edge.)

Here's the card...

The images were adhered with foam tape and die cut leaves were adhered with
multi matte medium glue.  I used images from Polynesian Paradise and Tiki Party.
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these sets!

As always MAHALO for stopping by!
