Something New for A Blog Named Hero

Aloha!
has a new challenge out

http://ablognamedhero.blogspot.com/2020/05/challenge-new.html

We're challenging you to use your
NEW stuff or a NEW technique.

I was super excited to use my
NEW Hero Arts stash...
the perfect excuse to take some crafty time out of my
busy work and family schedule...haha!

I decided to create a window with the largest
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle die
(I've said it before, but they are my faves!)
Then I placed a rectangle stitched die insert
stamped with the my newest Hero Arts background stamp
Forest Floor Bold Print.
(talk about versatility...you'll be seeing me use this background stamp a lot!)

I had the most fun with the
Layering Hibiscus set!
I had to experiment with some ink colors and finally settled on these.

The first flower on the left was the most subtle, but reminded
me of our state flower...the yellow hibiscus.
It was a combination of Lawn Fawn's sunflower for the base
and Hero Arts Shadow Ink Butter Bar for the top layer.
Of course it wouldn't be our state flower without the red stemen in
Hero Arts Shadow Ink Red Royal.
The middle flower is Butter Bar with Lawn Fawn's Fake Tan
and the far right hibiscus is Butter Bar and Fresh Peach.
The leaf base is Lawn Fawn's Freshly Cut Grass with
Hero Arts Ombre Ink (the lightest color) for the detail.
This stamp set is a great way to play with all your inks!

I stamped the sentiment in Hero Arts Shadow Ink Forever Green
to keep with the color theme.
Everything was fussy cut and adhered with some foam tape
on certain petals for added dimension.

I hope you'll play along with us for your chance to win

Mahalo for stopping by!
