I WHEELIE need more birthday cards!

I am having a blast crafting today!
It's amazing the things you can do when both kids are away!!
Any of you going to be a part of True Stamp 2015 on Saturday?
My entire family knows it's my personal day off to craft to my hearts content.
Today was a bonus!

In my efforts to make more birthday cards,
I've opted for this Lawn Fawn mini set.
They have a bunch of them perfect for any occasion
and to make quick cards with sweet sentiments!

Let me show and tell one of the cards I made...

Lawn Fawn I Wheelie Like You, Lawn Fawn Sophie's Sentiment, Lawn Fawn year Two,
Lawn Fawn Clark's ABCs, Lawn Fawn Happily Ever After, Hero Arts Ombre ink
in Pool to Navy, copics, Chickeniddy enamel hearts

I quickly stamped a background in Hero Arts Soft Sand ink
and used Simon Says Stamp Stitched Square for a panel.
The rest was colored, die cut and assembled.

For inspiration I used the latest

and since this also fits the
of  Anything Goes...I'll link there too!

Again in an effort to make more cards I've decided
to make tags with the same stamp set.
That way I can either quickly pop it on a card
or add it to a gift bag!

I'll be back with more so stay tuned...

Oh Monday...

Monday...again...

Today's card was made for Amy Tsuruta's friend who
was newly diagnosed with lung cancer.
I believe she is still collecting encouragement cards if you feel
inclined to make one and send it her way.
I am a strong believer in "support medicine"
as I've seen patients with strong support get through just about anything.

If you follow me on instagram you'll see a lot of my
"work in progress" pics of coloring and layouts, and may have seen
my practice coloring of these beautiful daffodils drawn by thee
talented Sandy Allnock.
She has a EduDigi series that has really improved my coloring!

I created my own window of sorts with a left over piece
from the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die.
At the last minute I decided to use a stencil to create a background
so I taped/masked the edges and used a Hero Arts Medallion Stencil.
Lastly the sentiment was stamped from Hero Arts Bits and Pieces.

I saw a sweet mood board over at
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
of daffodils so I thought I'd link up.

A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Unexpected

Happy Aloha Friday!

has a new challenge up today with the theme

I was having a lot of fun coloring
with this stamp set

such a great way to practice shading with copics and even watercoloring!

Ready for my UNEXPECTED card....

I decided to make a fruit basket with the
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circle dies
to create a shaped card.
The pear was stamped without the sentiment inside and
the pineapple is from an older Hero Arts set (CL 442).
I die cut the circle twice to create a half moon/basket shape and stamped with
that fab gingham pattern by Lawn Fawn in Soft Sand Shadow ink.
The fruits were fussy cut and arranged using some foam tape.

This is what the back side looks like...

and I covered it up with another stitched circle for a finished look.

Here it is standing upright...

I hope you found this to be unexpected!
It completely reminded me of when my grandmother
would visit someone in the hospital
and we always had a fruit basket to give.

I hope you'll join us for this challenge for a chance to win

Designer Spotlight for Kitty Bee Designs

Happy Saturday friends!
Today I'm sharing this sweet image by

I can't get enough of that sweet froggy's face!
Just about the same face I make
every time I forget someone's birthday!!

I kept the card simple for mass production
because I ALWAYS need a
Belated Birthday card.

The bottom was stamped with Lawn Fawn's
Gingham backgrounds using their ink in Cranberry (so pretty).
I took various fonts of questions marks to do
a tone on tone background and popped
up that sweet copic-colored froggy.
I hand drew the speech bubble and there you have it!

Hope you have a great weekend and

Kitty Bee Design Ladybug, My Favorit Things Dessert Bouquet dies,
Penny Black Grateful dies,Clearly Besotted Simply Quilled
Embossing folder, stickles, distress markers, Dove blender pen

I love how the distress markers look on Kraft!
I wanted the ladybug on a bed of leaves and kept the
background simple with an embossed bloom.

Wedding Favor Box

This weekend I was blessed enough
to be a part of our church's
Marriage Preparation program.
Our goal is to create an awareness that marriage
takes work, is full of compromise and needs open communication.
We try to create an understanding of where we come from,
our family of origin, and the things we want to bring to a marriage
including the things we would like to leave behind.

Sorry, haha, I could go on and on...
my passion lies in having a more beautiful marriage than their wedding!
Like I told the engaged couples we were paired up with...
this isn't Hollywood...we want your marriage to last forever!

So after 6 weeks of working with our engaged couples
the hubby and I wanted to give them a little something to celebrate...

We started with these boxes cut from an 8.5inx11in
shimmer paper using this cut file.
I just loved that sentiment and decided to weld it
to create a fun window.
I stamped it with Lawn Fawn's Scripty Sayings
and added some Martha Stewart punched butterflies.

The hubby baked some goodies to fill the inside...

I was so happy with the end result
and even happier that the couples enjoyed them!
That's it for me today.

A Silhouette Kinda Day

Today I've got a project using
my Silhouette for the

I found this super cute file
and created a shaped card that holds
a gift card on the inside!
It came together pretty quick since I decided
to use cream colored cardstock and craft,
then inked up with distress inks.
I played with the latest distress inks
Cracked pistachio on the background flower
and Abondoned Coral for the label!

and the inside...

and a closeup...

I think I'll be making more of these
just to keep on hand!

I made another project using the Silhouette
so stay tuned and come back tomorrow!
