Spring Coffee Lover's Blog Hop!

/
Aloha and welcome to my corner of the blogosphere!
I LOVE sharing this bloghop with
fellow coffee lovers
and hope you'll come by often!

I'm a HUGE fan of Lawn Fawn
so today I'm playing around with a stamp set and inks from
the new release.
LOVE these flirty frames and LOVE their inks as watercolor!!

Lawn Fawn Flirty Frames, Lawn Fawn inks, Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte,
Lawn Trimmings, Hero Arts Shadow ink in Soft Sand, waterpen

I created a sort of muted background
just so I could highlight the main sentiment.
(read: I wanted to stamp all the frames for fun!)
I wasn't sure about doing a one layer card,
but here it is!
Super fast and easy with a touch of spring colors.
The little cup o' joe is my first attempt at
no line watercoloring...HA, it works fabulous with
Lawn Fawn inks!!!

MAHALO for stopping by
and I'm off to hop myself!!!

Such a fun look... especially die cut in a rainbow of colors!!

Masking, Doodling and White Space

I'm so excited that my cards have been a
hit at work, and love that my coworkers
are now asking for "custom cards."
I was specifically asked for a wedding
card with an aquarium theme
and not too fussy.
Here's what I came up with...

Lawn Fawn Critters in the Sea, Lawn Fawn Feathered Friends,
Lawn Fawn Milk and Cookies, Lawn Fawn Hearts die,
Inktense Water Pencils with Dove Blender, Distress Ink in Cracked Psitachio,
Hero Arts India Ink black

I did a little masking and mirror stamping to get the
sweet girl octopus.  Added some doodled eyelashes
and wedding rings to give a wedding flair.
Here's a closeup...

I really liked their little wedding bands and added a little gemstone
on the girl!

Do you see that lovely watercolored background?
That is the latest Distress Ink color
Cracked Pistachio!!!
It is GORGEOUS!

With all that white space I'll be entering this in the next

I also wanted to share a few of my
Valentine grams that another coworker asked for...

and some closeups...

I've said it before, but I'm in love with the
Simon Says Stamp stitched dies!
The square ones make the perfect candy gram...
on the back will have Ghirardelli chocolates attached!!

This will be entered in the Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Ok thanks for letting me share and

For a Chiefs Fan

I've got a quick card to share today
in honor of Super Bowl Sunday

My coworker asked for a card
for her brother who is a Kansas City Chiefs fan.
If you only could've seen the look on my face?!
I'm not big into football and even less into making
football fan cards...lol
I couldn't say no, so here's what I came up with...

Hero Arts CL754 Dude, Lawn Fawn Star Stackable die, Lawn Fawn Cole's ABC,
Doodlebug Design Washi Tape and Bumblebee sequins,
Hero Arts Shadow inks in Pale Tomato and India Ink Black

I started with the Kansas City Chiefs' colors
and created a tone on tone football stamped background.
(In hindsight I wish I had used a darker red ink color).
I die cut stars out of vellum and washi taped the edges together
(because I don't sew ;o)
leaving one point of the star open to fill with sequins,
then taped it up.
To personalize I added the recipients name from die cut letters
and stamped the sentiment.
I'm thinking this is going to be my go-to design for football fans
since the color theme can easily be changed!

All right back to prepping for the Super Bowl...
hope you all have a fabulous Sunday and a great week ahead!!

Mahalo for stopping by!!!

More to Love!
