My Intro...

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!  I wanted to make a quick post to introduce you all to the latest blog challenge Kitty Bee Design.  I've said this a few times, but I am SUPER excited to have been chosen as a DT member.  I wanted to entice y'all to hop on over to check it out so here's a little sneaky peek...

I had a ton o' fun making my own background paper and "punny" sentiment.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did making it!  I'd be ever so honored if you stopped by Kitty Bee Design to check out the entire card and left me some comment love.  Stay tuned for more posts and projects on my new venture as a Kitty Bee Design Team Member!!!

Celebrate Summer!

My favorite thing to escape the summer heat is shaved ice (snow cone)!  My Colorado sister has been to Hawaii a few times and I couldn't believe I had never introduced her to this fabulous treat until recently.  I'm looking forward to making many trips with the kiddos and possibly trying some new flavors...possibly...my go to is always strawberry and lychee with a snow cap (condensed milk topping)...it's ooooh soooo good!

The next Pinspired Challenge reminded me of the many flavors and colors of shaved ice...

I had to add that little bow...just added to its cuteness!  This will also be entered in 3Girl Jam Challenge.

More Fun with Pattern

The sentiment says it all on how I've been feeling since my best friend and her ohana left yesterday.  I am truly "wishing big" for the next time we'll be able to see each other again. Too bad a whole ocean and 2,500 miles separate us.

This week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge is to stamp on pattern paper.  I've been hoarding my Lawn Fawn Pink Lemonade paper and decided it needs to get used!  I'd been wanting to ink up the latest CAS-ual Fridays stamp set Bold Wishes and decided to get more inspiration from Pinspired Challenge

What spoke to me was the colors and hint of silver...even the scrolling in the background hence the silver embossed border.  The design was inspired by this week's Feshly Made Sketches

Hope everyone has a great weekend.  Crossing my fingers to get more crafting in since I did get a few goodies for Mother's Day!  Thanks for stopping by!!

TGIF

Happy Friday everyone!  It's been a loooong week for me, but there's a light at the end of the tunnel.  My best friend from college is flying in with her hubby and super adorable 14 month old and I cannot wait to spend some time with them.

I wanted to whip up a quick card for her...

We try to chat with each other on the phone every other weekend or so, and I'm so excited that now we won't need our phones!

The colors and style was inspired by this...

This is the next Runway Inspired Challenge.  I was drawn to the black and white and yellow in the background (reason for the base of the card).  Also the pink polka dots with blue handbag also stood out for me, hence the phone!

The design of the card is from this week's CAS(E) this Sketch

That's it for me.  I hope everyone has fabulous plans for the weekend...especially all the moms out there!

Rainbow Brushstrokes

Today I wanted to share a little technique I learned in one of the online classes I took a few months ago.  We were taught to use white chalk ink as a base then re-stamp image with the color of your choice.  The result is a more dimensional image that I really like!

I loved how the brushstrokes turned out using a rainbow of colors.  The brushstroke and sentiment is from CAS-ual Fridays stamp set Breath.  I chose inspiration from the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge incorporating polka dots, kraft and punches/dies.  I made that strip of polka dots simply using 2 different sized hole punches and randomly punching away!

The colors and brushstrokes were inspired by this Pinspired picture...

And the sketch is following CAS(E) this Sketch

Hope everyone's weekend is off to a great start!

Baby Blessings

Can't believe I let a whole week slip by without making a single card!  My hubby needed a card for his friend that just had a baby and wouldn't ya know it...it's the theme of the next Runway Inspired Challenge!

Following this cutie patootie model...

I loved the little polka dots and bow.  I went for the neutral colors with a bit of gold like the model's outfit.  I could just squeeze this little one. Babies bring so much joy and only wish time could go a little slower for me to enjoy my little ones that grow so fast!

This card will also be entered to 3 Girl Jam Challenge: Anything Goes

Mahalo for taking the time to stop by...I so appreciate it!

More to Love!
